Nidesoft DVD to Nokia Converter 5.6

Nidesoft DVD to Nokia Converter is a DVD ripping tool. It allows you to save your DVD movies or TV show DVDs to formats that are playable on Nokia phones and other mobile devices. This application can open your DVD movies from the DVD itself or an IFO file, if you ripped the DVD to your hard drive. It can convert your whole movie or parts of it into a variety of video formats, including MP4, 3GP, AVI, and FLV. There are only three "optimized" profiles for Nokia phones, one for the Nokia 5800 and two other general profiles that convert files into MP4 and 3GP, respectively. So, if you already own a general-purpose DVD ripper, you might not need this.

The converter looks OK. Nidesoft doesn't worry much about looks. The user interface is still very intuitive and, most importantly, it seems to work well. In my testing, I converted a single title into the Nokia MP4 profile. The whole conversion process took a little over 5 seconds and the title was 14 seconds long. So, you can expect this app to convert an hour of video in roughly 20 minutes or so. My converted file looked fine, and resolution was scaled down to 320x240 to fit a small phone screen.
